All too often we take clouds for granted and sometimes it is good to look up and really take notice of what is above us. Such an occasion was yesterday afternoon (on what had been a lovely day) when I suddenly became aware of some rather different and quite beautiful clouds. I rushed in to get my camera to record the spectacle before the wind had altered it and blown the clouds away.
In the pictures here, I think they are Cirrus clouds formed of ice crystals and usually signify a change in the weather ahead.
More information on clouds can be found on the Met Office website:- www.metoffice.gov.uk and, from that, a comprehensive guide to clouds can be downloaded as a 4.36 mb PDF file.
