This skyscape was taken on a lovely still evening towards dusk. It is, of course, upside down and is actually a reflection in a pond with a perfectly still surface. I just liked the effect of the upside down image, broken by the ripple from a pond skater.
I have also included a shot of a Jay on our bird table. Not quite the image I was hoping for (I will keep trying) but just good enough to show some of its spectacular colours which looked great in the sunlight and framed by the roses. I have heard that various bird groups get more questions about Jays than almost any other bird – people wondering what type of ‘exotic bird’ has visited their gardens.
